After a decade organizing Carnaval Ha Long which has been considered as tourism production of the city, this year, Quang Ninh province decided not to hold this kind of program in the Ha Long - Quang Ninh Tourism Week 2017. 

This was announced on April 17 by Deputy Director of the Quang Ninh provincial Tourism Department, Trinh Dang Thanh, at a press conference on the Ha Long - Quang Ninh Tourism Week 2017. He said due to objective reasons, carnaval program will not be held in the tourism week this year with view to preparing well for National Tourism Year 2018 hosted by Quang Ninh province. "Colourful Ha Long" program will be taken place instead of carnaval.

According to organization board, the tourism week is going to have 7 cultural, sports and tourism events, it is expected to be held from April 28 to May 7 in two big cities Ha Long and Mong Cai. Events and programs are opening ceremony of Mong Cai Tourism Week 2017, walking street, food street (Mong Cai), Tuan Chau - Ha Long Asian Beach Volleyball Championship, Quang Ninh table tennis championship, etc. , 

The highlighted point in the tourism week is musical performance "Colourful Ha Long 2017", it is planned to take place on 8.00 p.m in April 28 at Halong Ocean Park (Bai Chay ward, Ha Long City) with well-prepared, splendid decoration, especially, the participation of artists and famous singers such as Trong Tan, Dang Duong, Tung Duong, Ho Ngoc Ha, etc. and artists team from European.
